Google map is a service provided by google and it can be found here http://maps.google.com/. It is a web base mapping service that is offered free to everyone. It offers street maps, a route planner for traveling by foot, car, or public transport and an urban business locator for numerous countries around the world.


Users can choose to view it like a map

Or choose the satellite view

Google maps also provide a route planner, all you have to do is input your current location and destination, Google maps will plan out the shortest route and show it to you.

There is even a mobile version of google maps that are being use in phones, like the iPhone and the google phone. People can then search for directions while on the go or when driving. Users can also make use of their phone’s GPS to locate their current location on the map. The only drawback to this is that users need an internet connection for it to work.
